Two methods

Primary method

When your supplier has a VS profile

verified.supply uses the actual scope 1 + 2 emissions of your supplier, weighted by your purchase fraction of their total revenue. This is the highest quality class under ESRS E1-6.

Spend-based method

As fallback

For suppliers without a VS profile, verified.supply calculates an estimate based on your purchase amount and sector emission factors (EXIOBASE 2023). Clearly marked as estimate in the export.
