EUDR deadline December 2026: are you on time?

30 December 2026. That is the deadline for large and medium operators to file their first Due Diligence Statements (DDS) under the EU Deforestation Regulation. That is less than a year away.

Who needs to act

Companies that place beef, cocoa, coffee, palm oil, rubber, soy or wood — or derived products such as chocolate, leather, furniture or paper — on the EU market or export them from the EU.

What needs to happen now

Take stock of which raw materials are in your products. Ask your suppliers for the GPS coordinates of the production plots. Check whether those plots were deforested after 31 December 2020 (using Global Forest Watch or equivalent tools).

What is not asked of you

Small and micro operators (fewer than 50 employees, less than €10 million turnover) have until 30 June 2027 and a simplified procedure. A one-off declaration per raw material can suffice in many cases.

How verified.supply helps

The EUDR module starts with a scope check: does it apply to you or not? If it does, you record the origin and declarations for each raw material in your profile — ready for your DDS submission as soon as the EU Information System becomes available (expected Q1 2027).
